Privacy Policy
Privacy information for GoLanka Transfers website visitors and customers.
Who we are
GoLanka Transfers is the airport transfer and private driver brand of Genuine Sri Lankans Tours, based in Sri Lanka. For any privacy question or request, write to golankatransfers.com@gmail.com.
Information you give us
The booking and contact forms on this website ask for your trip details (service, pickup, destination, date, time, flight number, passengers and luggage), your name, a contact detail and any notes. The forms do not send this information to our website and it is not stored on the website. When you continue, your browser places the details into a WhatsApp message or an email addressed to us. We receive them only when you send that message. If you start from the quick quote box on the home page, your pickup, destination and date are held briefly in your browser’s session storage so they can be shown on the booking form. They are not put in the page address and are removed once the booking form has loaded.
WhatsApp and email
If you contact us on WhatsApp, your message, phone number and profile name are processed by WhatsApp (Meta) under its own privacy policy. If you email us, your message is handled by our email provider, Google (Gmail). We use what you send to answer your enquiry and to arrange the transport you ask for.
Analytics, cookies and your consent
With your consent, this website uses Google Analytics 4 to understand how visitors use it: pages viewed, approximate location, device and browser type, and actions such as opening a WhatsApp or email link or starting the booking form. Google Analytics is loaded, and its cookies (_ga and _ga_XW0JZM22X6) are set, only after you choose Accept in the cookie notice. If you choose Reject, or make no choice, Google Analytics is not loaded and no analytics cookies are set. What you type into our forms is never sent to Google Analytics. This website does not load advertising or social-media tracking scripts.
Your choice is remembered in your browser’s local storage for six months so that we do not ask on every page. You can change it at any time.
Hosting and security
The website is hosted on Cloudflare. Like any web host, Cloudflare processes technical data such as IP address, browser type and the pages requested in order to deliver the site and protect it from abuse.
How long information is kept
This website does not keep a copy of your enquiry. Messages you send us by WhatsApp or email stay in those accounts until they are deleted. You can ask us to delete yours at any time (see “Your requests”).
Your requests
You can ask what information we hold about you, or ask us to correct or delete it, by writing to golankatransfers.com@gmail.com. Depending on where you live, you may have further rights under your local data-protection law.
